At Diamond Bar Veterinary Clinic, you will find internship-trained veterinarians who have experience in busy urban animal hospitals. Internship-trained veterinarians are a select group of doctors who have completed highly sought after postgraduate internships at major training hospitals and have demonstrated academic and clinical excellence.
Preston Choi, DVM
Dr. Choi received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in South Korea in 2008. He transferred to Oklahoma State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, Stillwater, OK for advanced education and clinical training. After studying at OSU, he completed a year long Small Animal Medicine and Surgery rotating internship at one of the most prestigious specialty hospitals in New York City, NY.
Dr. Choi is currently continuing his practice in So Cal since 2012.
His medical interests include emergency and critical medicine, internal medicine, general surgery and preventive medicine.
In his free time, Dr. Choi enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Ahn who is also a veterinarian at this clinic, and his feline son, Shane.
Sohyun Ahn, DVM
Dr.Ahn attended GSNU veterinary school in South Korea, attaining her degree in veterinary medicine (DVM) in 2008. After graduating from a clinical year at Oklahoma State University, she practiced in Irving, Texas for two years. She moved to California in 2013 and completed a year long small animal rotating internship at Animal Emergency Medical Center in Torrance, CA.
Dr. Ahn's professional interests include internal medicine, emergency and trauma medicine, preventive medicine, and veterinary acupuncture.
During her time off, Dr. Ahn loves reading novels or hanging out with her family members and friends.
